About Me!
The Teacher
It all began as a little girl. I loved cleaning the chalkboards for my teacher. I dreamed of using her supplies. I would ask for crayons and markers for birthday presents. I loved the idea of working with kids, being creative, making a difference in the world and…having summers off to travel! A passion was born in my heart as a little girl to pursue education as my profession.
The Traveler
It all began as a teenager. My high school geography teacher showed us pictures of his travels throughout Europe. When I saw those mountains of Switzerland, the cobblestone streets of Paris, and the white homes of Santorini, I purposed that I, too, would travel the world. As soon as I could, I started doing just that. I have now traveled to over 35 countries!
The Techy
It all began as a young teacher. I remember getting my first cell phone (yes I am that old that I lived in “pre-cell phone” days); wondering if this new technology was going to last. 20 years later, I am an apple teacher, a Smart Exemplary Educator, and Seesaw certified educator. I am passionate about integrating technology in meaningful and authentic ways.
my “why”
It all began with a problem. A super annoying problem. I had a choice….throw my computer out the window and never use my new Smartboard again OR persevere and take initiative to learn more to solve the problem. I chose the latter and…the rest is history!
